Can anyone tell me hwere i can get the smooth rounded bases that I see everyone using these days? I saw them on minis at GenCon and just fell in love with them. Thanks!

Since we are on the topic, I am looking for long recessed bases. I found some old Ral Partha ones for hex and they are great but I cant seem to find any more. Something I can put a mini in and fill with epoxy.

What\'s the deal with these things? My theroy is that Jen got a ton as Dark Ages cheif artist and everyone followed suit.. Though they are nice because you can build up the base to the edge with whatever.. Also a nice way to deal with the Reaper bases from heck! :p

Reaper actually sells recessed bases also. They come in hex, 1\" square, and 1X2\" rectangles, usually 4 to a pack. I saw them under accessories at their online store.

My favorite base is still the 40mm round that GW makes... I dunno what the deal with it is, just ifts right into my hand. So, lots of my stuff will be featured on them.

I have most of my Reaper stuff mounted onto them already (or onto the larger Epic Titan baese), with greenstuff built up around those ugly little metal things the models come on.

Also, I like to place character models onto them, as it gives a little more room to make the bease special as well, and helps mark the models out as characters on the tabletob (Which one of those thirty Ork boyz is the Nob again? lol).

So until something I like better comes out and is readily available, I\'m sticking with the 40mm round.
