Becca, glad you guys made it through OK. Try using kerosene lamps. Don\'t work well either - the light is too yellow.
That and it\'s hard as heck to paint in a flickering light.

I have to disagree with #3.
When I was a kid in the 70s I shared a room with 2 or 3 siblings (one got his own room along the line) and we would lie awake in the dark at night playing our home version of D&D. Of course, it had no dice and if I recall correctly the GM used a flashlight under his covers to look at the map he had drawn some time before to see where we were going and what we\'d encounter. That was some of the best gaming ever.

glad to see you\'re all doing allright. You\'re really getting it this year, aren\'t you? Is it always like this?

As to Ivan, we\'ve been keeping an eye on that one since some of the old colonies were on it\'s path. Looks like it\'s going your direction too, so you may want to keep all preparations you made for this time handy. :(

Weird weather period. Hail in Sydney, storms in China (lot of casualties unfortunately) and an incredible after summer here (been a long time since we had such good weater). ???

You\'re lucky, she could be claiming that it\'s a satanic game and that you\'re all going to burn in hell for playing.

becca glad you are well, pass on my regards to the family. I\'ve got a couple of these for all emergencies and it sounds like you could use one

It\'s a head torch with white LED\'s it could be ideal for painting in hurricane land.

:D

When I went to Walmart on Friday, those were almost the only flashlights they had left. Wish I\'d thought to get a couple. Have to hit the store before Ivan comes through.

Like I said before, I was OK, with intermittened power on Saturday. My son and I played Warlord; only had to play about the last 10 minutes by flashlight.

Power went off at home again today. Must have been working on the power lines; some of my neighbors have been in the dark all week.

I still have all my hurrican supplies, so at least I\'m prepared for Ivan.

Keep your heads down guys - just saw the pictures of Ivan over here - got my fingers crossed for all of you in Fla - Iraq dont seem so bad right now, all things considered. At least we got folks who can shoot back at the folks shooting at us.

@ipaintminis : this may seem as a very stupid question considering the danger that lays in a hurricane\'s path, but still, here goes : are you planning on changing your avatar picture for every hurricane ;)?

Do take care and give us some news when the hurricane has finally left you safe.

not as strong as it will be when it touches land, but a tropical storm is still nothing to mess with, thats what frances was by the time it left fla.
