I was getting fed up with bits of minis floating around and migrating through my GW plastic carry case so I did a bit of shopping today at Leisure Games who are about 8 miles down the road from me.
After I got home, I decided to tear out some of the little squares and fit some minis in... slightly annoying that the 1\" foam isn\'t really deep enough for most of my mini bases and also that the foam is only on one side of each tray. This leaves the minis with foam on one side and plastic on the other. Well, I compromised by turning one tray over and sacrificing half the space... this works perfectly and now there is loads of room for small display bases.
I guess people transporting units and small armies, this won\'t be such a problem.
The tray at the top will probably come in useful too... as all my minis are for display only, I guess i\'m not the typical user of the case. Still, I can see it being useful for the odd blister and wot not.
Basically, i\'m very pleased with it... i\'m going to keep the GW case for unpainted minis and the battlehive one for painted ones.
Anyone looking for a case that hasn\'t seen or fondled one of these should have a good look. I\'m not saying they are perfect but I am now very confident my minis are as protected as I can make them on a budget.
Obviously, spending loads of money on a pelican case will afford you the best in protection.
