Lovely piece, a great sculpt and fab painting. Not dynamic enough for a duel imo. Congrats on the award though!

I think the drama is more implied....I really love the mood. It has real tension. Oh and the paint is phenomenal.

My favorite part is the base, no wait, the metals, no wait, the mood, no...

... It is way too nice to pick a favorite part, well done. As far as the pose, I see it like the Knight is weary from battle, and then one more foe appears from the dark forest, can he defeat this horned foe, or will it be the end of the Knight? But I am probably way off with my assessment.

Have not seen this before at all and now that you have posted the Pic I can really guess that there have been not one or two, but a Couple Pieces at the Italian GD worthy a Slayer Sword... Yours is Definatelly amongst them, my Friend... :)... I love it... So good... Think the Pose of the Knight could have been more narrative and tensed, but the Textures and Palette is just Great... Love it.. Keep on the Great Work, Brother, and you will be able to nick that Sword from all the Murellis...:D...

Thanks for Creating this... 10 Points all the way...

I'm liking this "guess the scene" game. Here's my shot: it looks like the beastman has attacked someone (the hand reaching up; perhaps another bretonnian) and lay in ambush for someone to rescue the wounded soldier when a bretonnian knight wanders on to the scene...almost like the first guy was just bait. Anyway, I love the scene and the tension and the painting is beautiful.
