Beastman

I think this has to be one of the best miniatures I have painted over the years. It took about a week to done, so about 40-50 hours of work in this one. The base is scratch built and I tried to use colours similar to that used on the miniature. It is the first time I have put up my own work on this forum, so comments and feedback are welcome.

She\'s a beauty all right. Ok maybe that comment is better fitting for a Slaaneshi Beastperson. You know what I mean :D

Really nice colors, and you\'re making me wish I got around to painting the Beastlords I bought and prepped ages ago!

Well look on the bright side, at least you\'ve still got them to paint.
This makes me think of stripping mine and starting again lol

Thanks for the positive comments. I tried a few new things when I painted this miniature, which came out well. I am currently working on a unit of fire dragons.

very very nice! :D

The nmm is well performed but need some more depth, especially the gold. I\'d migght for this specific mini picked real metallics though.. but it might mess up the colours so I\'m a bit torn. Because it\'s the colours and ambience are what set this one apart for me. The colourscheme is really great.

That is stunning.. I have a question about some of your other work in your gallery, Jamie.

How did you paint the yellow on this? It\'s so so nice...

The yellow is fairly simple to do. I always start with a black undercoat. Then scorched brown, snakebite leather and snake bite leather with skull white. I must stress lots of thin layers and a bit of zenthial lighting.

Averlorn your right about the depth in the NNM especially on the bronze but I have to agree if I went metallic or much darker it would have totally changed the overall effect. I think if I had changed it too much I dont think it would have turned out as well.
