Hi all, Been a few days since my last post,

Thanks for all the comments and encouragement,

Yes, some of these guys have gone together pretty fast, but there for gaming, so ive traded quality for quantity!

There not all getting painted like this, takes too long, the rest will just be painted in the green colour ive used on other!

The first sniper i did i realy liked, felt some inspiration for, Painted him quite well i thought, but the black shoulder pads werent quite doing it for me! they looked more undercoated than anything, so i did a lil searching on t'web and saw some techniques for weathering, that would look good on the armour i thought, So heres the result:

Hope its big enough/light enough although its painted pretty dark!

Picked up one of these today, n thought it would be rude not to give it the Beast marine treatment!

Will post pics over the weekend as i go, J.

Best check out some colour schemes on t' web!

Just a few subtle mods so far, wouldnt want to ruin a perfectly good design, i realy like this one, Maybe i should have done beast/tau ive seen one on the web and it looked quite good, anyhow too late now! Heres where im upto:

Should look a bit more beasty when i have a pilot and one aiming out back on a twin bolter!

Nice. Liking the piranha. Will it be a "counts as" land speeder, or will you play it as a piranha? Unsolicited suggestion: it might keep with the space marine/beastman feel more if you replace the burst cannon in front with an assault cannon. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again GT, nice to know ur following my thread!

Gonna have to stick with the gun on the front, dont have anything to replace it with, hope the beast marines make the conversion happen,

Will post pic of 2 x snipers in about 1 hour, they not painted great, but i like to think an ok tabletop grade!

Ive seen a few mini painting vids advertised recently, would love to know if anyone has seen one which they think has realy improved their painting! there expensive and im a little afraid of parting with hard earned cash on a poor one!

Just gonna throw some washes on these snipers, then piccy time!!!

No matter which mini i paint, no matter how good the sculpt, i always enjoy this little part,

Minimum painting, n maximum impact, even if only in my opinion, it always makes me feel productive!

The blacking of the base ! ! !

i know my painting isnt the best, and i know my photo skills need a crash course, but the flash made everything way too bright,

So here a dark photo, itll have to doo,

Glue mini to the base, take water n pva glue 1:2 appropriately add bicarbonate of soda till u get a gritty paste and apply where required,

Voiala!

Now back to the 'pihranah'piranha'pirahna' however u wanna spell it!!!

oh, you need to brighten the pictures badly, that last guy is hardly visible (at least on my comp screen). what i see looks good though.
never use flash but more light in the room, directlight towards the mini.

Those look great! Digging the stocks on the sniper rifles, and the scout shoulder pads continue to impress. The tac squad has a really cogent feel to it; the muted greens, yellows, and browns pull together well. So true about the blackening of the bases. Seems hard to imagine that it wasn't too long ago that goblin green was the agreed upon base rim color. I've heard good things about the Jeremie Bonamant Teboul DVDs. You can see a 10 min. clip of one here: http://cmdante.blogspot.com/2011/01/painting-tips-collection-i.html. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the piranha.

They look really good Johnny :)

Any plans for some slightly smaller Ungor scouts, or perhaps a Minotaur general? Semi-power-armoured Centigor perhaps?

Keep up the fine work :good:

Cheers, B.
