yes yes its true, and to prove it i just added the latest edition to my painting collection....the cherub.

It was one of two minis entered into the Demons, granted it didn\'t make first cut because it was a \"uncomfortable\" conversion. (yeah, its weird)

but i was still quite pleased...

if you wouldnt mind...please have a look?

I liked this little guy---both in picture and in person. Great job on the conversion. As far as the GDs...just plan on something for next year! I\'d love to you gals again!

Did the vote thing. I heard the compition was tough over there. Better luck next year.

Whats an \"Uncomfortable conversion\" mean??

The demon judges better watch out! I\'m coming back with some good stuff next year! Yes, it was pretty tough, some of the competiotion was reallly crazy, does anyone know why so many techmarines were done? and what\'s thes best way to get snow?

Those little dudes just creep me out. Well done although I am not sure I am too keen on the eyes. I dunno it seems ..... eye dunno. The mini is great, just something about the eyes...is it supposed to be like lava?? IMHO I think regular eyes would have been better. But great work anyway.

@Rodnik - Already got stuff idea-ed up for next year...quite excited about going agian actually

@wolf- yep thats the \'sad becca\'

@ogrebane- the judge said that because the cherub was so off the base it gave an unsettling feel to it...one of the reasons it didnt make first cut...apparentally things should stay over their base. :D

@redsevenblue- I quite liked the competition actually, and unfortunatly i don\'t know the answer to any of those questions...

@mr.teal- no they arnt lava...their just...er....red. It was physically impossiable for me to do \'real eyes\' on the bugger. sculpt was off a bit. I wasn\'t sure i wanted real eyes on it...i didn\'t want it to human.

@darth- I wont tell if you dont. it\'ll be our little secret :innocent:

One of your best yet, IPM. I quite like it. I don\'t share the judge\'s aesthetic beliefs about this piece, obviously. I suppose they are judges, they have to judge each piece and they can\'t send them all past the cut.

First of all, I want to say I love the cherub. I\'m really not into the 40K universe all that much but some things just appeal to me. It is both cute and \"OMG what is that THING\" all at the same time. The red eyes are just ... well I\'ll leve it at that.

Second I\'m glad that you are painting and posting. Sorry it didn\'t make the cut, but it made mine. I\'ve added it onto my favorites, which for a mini that isn\'t a half naked lady is a considerable achivement. :D

Having competed in Barbershop Quartet Singing contests in the past I can tell you that many times a \"good\" thing was disqualified or discounted because of the narrow minds of the judges. Such is life.

I could tell the judges were a little narrow minded this year because they didn\'t really like battle damage, the chose really clean models, and if you are good with green stuff IPM, you shoulda just molded a visor sorta like the Killa Kan\'s, no slit all the way accros, one round eye hole and a slit eye hole. It woulda looked alot cooler than making it look sorta like an oxymoron, no offense. It\'s still an awesome model, very awesome, I can\'t freehand that well.

he looks great. the freehand is good and i like the dark feel to the mini. i\'m not keen on the eyes but it\'s the sculpt (as you mentioned) not the red look you did
