Beelphegor, the soul reaper

I have been working on this for the last week or so and I still have to touch up the paint work a bit and add foliage etc. Maybe some blood on the sword and dripping on the base? A cut off head placed at the base of the statue? So what do people think? Photographs are not great I know.

That's just really beautiful, I love the color palette and it's a superb paint job. Also, the color tie ins between the cloak and the dragon scales and the metallics and the tree really brings it all together (or maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's how I saw it :)) I personally love it the way it is, but some dead/dying foliage might work well...anything green and living would (to me at least) really change the atmosphere.

Crickey... that's an impressive paint job mate. I love the muted palette... I wouldn't add too much contrast imho, blood and greenery might be a bit too distracting. The focal point is his outstretched hand as the flesh colour stands out against the rest and then you get drawn in towards the face and down to the base. It's a visual path of discovery, it is.

Thanks for your advice. I have just added tiny dead sticks and leaves- so nothing much just browns and blacks so not to distract from the miniature. Now onto posting.
