Just a quick note to say hello to all of you again. Don\'t think of me as a coffin dodger:D Just because Ihave had a small stroke at the start of 2005. I have had my hands pretty full and other things on my mind. Right now the only lasting effects seem to be some vision loss in my left eye. Everything else is well except for the medical experts who still have not determined what caused the 1st stroke I had almost 5 years ago.....normal blood work, BP and all that.

Time for a brain transplantlollol

Belated Happy New Year to you all

Sorry to hear that, I hope you\'re doing well....and, of course, I have to ask the most important question....can you still paint? :D

Is your depth perception okay?

Depth perception seems the same. I painted up some of the new GW Ogres I got for Christmas last week for 1000 pt game. Speedy job and they seem okay. I am still excessively tired and I think I will wait for that to diminish before trying some serious work ( Like some of the wonderful minis that Dragonsreach sent me on the Ist swap)

Sorry to hear that :( Do you plan on postin your army even though it was just for table use. That way you could see your progress as you start to paint again :)

Sorry to hear about your medical troubles minimart, hopefully everyone gets back up to running status here soon for you and you get a bit more energy.

Best of luck with it all!

I\'m glad that you are ok! I\'ve seen what strokes can do to people... :(

Now, show us the ogres! Show us! :innocent:

Wow Mike, that\'s not a good start to the year. However I\'m glad that you\'re better and most importantly still with us.

Round about this time last year my mother had a stroke (She\'s 74) and she\'s made very strong improvements, but at her age after the stroke itself, we\'re just pleased that she\'s still here. (There was a time that we thought she might not make it.)
Now, like my mother, you need to make sure that you take care and listen to the Doctors (You have the benefit of a good few years less on the clock.) The tiredness will take a great deal of time to go, the best thing to do is to rest and proceed slowly.

Remember; There are many small steps in the longest journey.

Thanks for your thoughts, I really do appreciate them. My camera is at work. I might go in and pick it up today. I might even post the Ogres for a laughlollol It is a strange feeling to fall asleep when your are painting....lets hear it for large oversized tattoos to cover sleeping slips:D

I am taking it slow....I don\'t know if I will be going back to work or not. My wife and I have been talking about moving back to our house in Nova Scotia.

Talk to you soon, and hopefully I will be posting photos soon.

:( minimart, sorry to hear about your stroke, what a bummer way to start a new year. Sending good karma thoughts your way for a full recovery:) Take it easy like the Doctors say.

Wwell, I suppose you could figure that the rest of the year has to be an improvement over the start ;) Glad to hear that things sre okay on the whole for you and that there wasn\'t any greater damage done. Add my voice to those wishing you well and for a speedy and complete recovery. I also hope they sort out what the underlying cause was.
