Hey ya, I\'m painting a real fun dwarf mini right now and as he\'s got a pint in his hand.. open with some beer swishing around in it I\'ve ofcourse got to paint it nicely. Now I was thinking of doing some light err, yellow beer(I\'m 14, I know nothing about beer types :( ) with some foam effect.
Now I was thinking about: Basecoat of Vomit brown, add in bleached bone for highlights up too pure bleached, glaze with some brown washes and finish with gloss varnish.

Does this sound OK ? Anybody got some tips they could share ?

Start a little darker Beastial/Beasty Brown works.

Its all in the highlights with ANY liquid, its always gloss. If you want to cheat use gloss varnish to make it look wet:D But the best advice I can give you is look at beer, not drink it (I didnt drink at that age;);):))

Beer is evil, I thought this thread was recommending a beer to drink ???

I like the old \'wife beater\', Stella Artois:|~

Hmm, ok.. I guess I\'ll start with some Bestial/vomit mix and mix in some khaki/bone for highlights.
The mini is the special edition Josef Bugman from Bugmans bar, painting it for the groundforge paintathon, going to have a really neat base also.
aight, off to check out your Bugman tammy, don\'t remember how the beer was there  :edit: damn, no view of it.. :(

Yep! With lots of smelly farts:|~

Maybe they are \'new\'dwarfs that have got into \'cafe\'culture\' and drink Late\'s @ starbucks etc etc........

Tammy could be right, dark \'ale\' would be more in character ???
