Behold the Bigature

Armorcast 40K Scale Imperator Titan.

Apparently something Armorcast was planning some years ago and abandoned. And for a bucket of money, it can be yours. Ouch! Or you can, you know, buy a car.

Normally I like the older Games Workshop stuff, but this design doesn\'t really do it for me. It\'s too awkward.

It doesn\'t do much for me either.

It\'s not finished, which is one knock against it, but more importantly, it doesn\'t \'feel\' the right scale. The components are much too big and bulky. Had they been more intricate, this thing would have more of a \'gigantic robot\' feel.

it\'s not actually big enough, at least according to a wiki page about titans. If the warhound model is 10.5\" tall, and is supposed to be 15m tall actual size, and the Imperator is 100m, that would mean the model should be about 70\" (almost 6 feet tall). Of course those wiki pages are not necessarily accurate and I can\'t be bothered to search more for any official GW info on them.

Who knows what they would have done with it detail-wise.

OK, I just went Google crazy and can\'t find it.... Some store (east coast, US, if IRC) built a 40K scale version at 6\' tall. It was red and huge. They sold it (or at least tried to, I don\'t remember if it sold) on ebay about ayear back. I\'ll keep looking and post if I find it.

That link should be here somehwere....

The one sold on eBay about a year ago had a big chainblade IIRC, it seemed to be a bit better than the Armorcast ones (including the one on eBay now) but it may have been produced by the same people or something. I vaguely remember there being some issues of copyright and \"Can this guy actually sell that model\" kinda discussions. Maybe someone remembers what I\'m talking about :D

Pretty cool, Capt. Imperitor titans are supposed to be twice the size of that warlord titan. That would take up the whole room in your house. lol

The Warlord Titan on Warseer rocks. A little sloppy with the painting in spots, but overall quite impressive. :D

Dreamforge at one point made some 40K Titan knock-offs (and I think were stopped by GW). Those are the all grey ones I remember seeing. Vaguely remember an Imperator-like Titan in the bunch, too.

I\'ve just been reading the wiki page on titans. I wonder if anyone has thought about building the Castigator, which by the info there taken from the Dark Adeptus book, was over a kilometer tall, that\'s ten times the size of the imperator!
