Beowulf rocks!!! IMAX 3D version

We saw the film last night in IMAX 3D..full 3d with glasses and everything. Gorgeous. Even better CG quality than Advent Children and The Spirits Within (so of course, it blows away all the Disney stuff).

Since the animations are motion captured, most of it is awesome. The water, and snow look gorgeous as well, and Angelina Jolie!!!! DAMN.....

The story is pretty good...i can\'t remember the original epic poem, which we studied a bit back in school...I am certain there are some changes....but not sure on how severe they are.

If you watch it, it\'s well worth it, but make sure it\'s in 3D !!!

possibly one of the only movies I will see or want to see this year, great concept on the animation process and I am glad you think it is worth the time and money.

I\'m intrigued by it, mostly because Neil Gaiman was involved with the screenplay.

I will however have to ignore your recommendation StarFyre. Anyone who thinks that Advent Children and Spirits Within has superior animation to Disney/Pixar efforts is severely confused and can\'t be trusted in any way.

Just got back from the theatre.. definitely see it IMAX 3D. Earlier on in the film I found some of the scene transitions a little sudden but that\'s the only thing REALLY \"wrong\" with it.. brilliant CGI, great script (no corn here!), and some of the best damn action sequences I\'ve ever seen.

Oh, and Bill, the shot where Jolie emerges from the water is gorgeous, nipples or not

Didn\'t get to see it in 3-d as the nearest IMAX is about 4 hours away where AinuLainour lives, but I have to say I was impressed.

The CGI is amazing, and the very odd and unique take on the poem is very refreshing and well done. Can\'t say I totally agree with the translation but it does somewhat make sense. Maybe I could buy it if they somehow fit the return to Geatland in.
