Best deal for an airbrush gun?

The GW one is a wee bit pricey (like everything) so I wanted to ask what the best brand / deal was for buying a very basic airbrush gun that will only be used for paint coverage of larger objects (vehicles, tanks, etc).

My wife already has a pro airbrush and compressor, but uses it for makeup work so it\'s out-of-bounds for mini paint.

So yeah, I only need the gun part.

DeVilbiss, I have been using these for airbrush work since I was at college 20 odd years ago..lol... Tamiya ones are used by MIG at Andrea miniatures in all the AFV painting etc on the DVDs they put out. Iwata are also good... Badger are bad, or at least used to be years ago.

What part of the world are you in? (it does make some difference)

If all you are looking for is a area gun (primer, tanks, basecoat), I\'d consider a single action.

Badger Model 350
Paasche Model H

Low end double actions that would do well for a few bits more:

Aztek
Badger Cresendo
Paasche VL
Iwata Eclipse

In about that order.

I\'ve got a Badger (150?) double action and it works real well. I would reccomend it for the cost.

My question is how much is the GW one? I thought it was only 35$cdn and didn\'t think it was that bad for a basic spray gun.

I\'ve got a Badger 150, never been used, still in the box.

Send me a PM if you\'d like to buy it, I\'d sell it for about 40 bucks.

You can get a better gun for the same price at an art store or online (I say better not even including the recall they did for faulty valves or hoses or whatever it was). Not that I want to start a GW bashing hijack or anything, their tools and hobby supplies are just overpriced.

I\'ve also got a Badger, their midrange guns have served me well for quite some time. For general work. No heavy production or super fine detailing like doing the pupils on 28mm models.
