Best Dragon Mini Around

I need to get a dragon mini painted up as a present.......what are the best looking ones around?

Reaper has a fantastic line of BIG dragons, and some smaller ones.

Darksword has some really nice dragons.

and then there is always the BIG MUTHA grand daddy Fire dragon by Forge World...

What size are you seeking young grasshopper. And if you\'re painting up a dragon for an X-Mas present you had better get to it, assembly alone can take a week....

The rackham dragons are amazing. The giant one is the best one I have seen. It costs $250 though.

* forgeworld chaos dragon, fire dragon
* rackham titan dragon
* reaper has some nice large metal dragons but not as detailed as the resin ones listed above

If you don\'t mind older minis, you could probably find good deals on some of the old Grenadier and Ral Partha dragons on ebay or in gaming stores that have OOP merchandise. Check out IG88\'s gallery for some of them.

im painting a mcfarlane dragon now. theyre great, though they do require a lot of gs and knife work beforehand. i was going to post pics, but i cant anymore.

Another vote for the MacFarlane\'s dragons here. As funnymouth said, lots of gap-filling and knife work to remove mould lines, but those dragons are perhaps the most dynamic and believable dragons around. The sculpts are simply amazing. >>Have a look<< from 2005 onwards for the dragon series.

I don\'t like the macfarlane dragons much. I find the details in the FW chaos dragon MUCH more detailed...

however, the cost is also MUCH higher....

I can\'t believe I forgot the old ral partha LE dragons and the magnificient egos one...

Much as I like Dragons I can\'t justify yet another one at the moment.
I have Waaaaaaaay too many unpainted.


@goblinLB: Macfarlane figures are not toys they are Collectable Figures. And they are Soooooo tempting to paint.
