Considering the symbol \"y\" was originally pronounced \"th\", how would you pronounce Englysh?

Don\'t mind me I am just being anal.
I just have a pet peeve when people say \"ye old\" when in period people would have said \"the old\" they just would have spelled it ye olde.

-Bare knuckle: Pretty much anything with Jackie Chan. Or the final fight in Lethal Weapon 4 (Riggs and Murthaugh vs Jet Li.) Awesome stuff.

-Pointy stuff: Highlander. Or Duel of Masters (or whatever it\'s called, I only know the German title), Eric Roberts and F. Murray Abraham as rivalling fencing teachers. Fancy (pun intended)! I am also deeply dissapointed that noone mentioned Conan.

-Guns: Private Ryan or the Nightclub shooting in Collateral. Just love the pro-like shooting there...

-Through the Blender: Sin City comes to mind. There\'s such a glorious amount of good violence out there... :]

-Some verbal: Much ado about nothing, or, for silliness: White Men can\'t jump... pure cheese gold!

Two drunk people fighting usually is funny.
And really old people too.
Not as funny as ONE drunk person fighting the thin air before him while lying on his back. lol

(A fond memory from my youth... And it wasn\'t me doing the fighting, I might add... :D)

Don\'t feel bad about being behind. Most of teh western world are behind where that movie is concern. It came out in 1998 or 99 in Asia. Hero, Old Boy,the Grudge, the Ring. Most of the movies that are coming out in the US are old movies from Asia.
The Grudge (Originally called Ju-on in Japan) was so scary people were having heart attacks in the theatre. The
Korean version isn\'t as good becausethey edited out hte good part.
In the states I heard the title of Hero was \"Quentin Tarantino presents Hero\". That movie was out two years after it hit the US. And there wasn\'t any mention Quentin in the title.

Survivor was originally a British show, the movie Taxi was originally a French movie...Has Hollywood run out of ideas?

I\'m finally watching \"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon\" for the very first time (yeah, I\'m really behind in my movie watching), and I the fight scenes in there are so... eye-popping, action-packed, physics laws-defying, incredible!

Heh! My daughter\'s deaf, and it can be a beautiful thing to watch them talk, argue, count....

Hmmm... other memorable fight scenes...

Errol Flynn\'s movies always had some great swashbuckling.

Zorro: The Gay Blade...

And let us not forget El Mariachi and its gone Hollywood sequels: Desperado and ... umm.. my mind\'s blanked on the third one. Once Upon a Time in Mexico? Am I remembering right?

Also, Shrek\'s becoming Farquaad\'s champion... and the fight against the dragon.

How about Danny Kaye in the Court Jester?

There\'s also a nice fencing scene in a Marx Brothers film where Harpo fences \"ze greatest fencer in all of France!\" while eating an apple and apparently not even watching what he\'s doing.

Okay, I\'m moving into \"funniest fight scene\" territory.

Oh, worst fight scene in movie history: the fencing scene in Canibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death.

All those who mentioned Tony Jaa (as in Ong Bak), Fist of Legend with Jet Li, Hard Bolied\'s opening sequence are prolly the closest to the truth.

Though the opening to the new Appleseed has to be in the blender category but is extremely impressive albeit anime.

I liked the line that came later:
\"I\'d have killed you in a fair fight\"
\"Well that doesn\'t give me much incentive to fight fair, does it?\"

I\'m rather fond of the fight scene between Gandalf & Saruman in LotR:FotR

It\'s kind of borderline hilarious, Grandad duel!!!
