best whiskey out there.

laphoaig 10 yr (scotch, single malt), it's rounder not as sharp as the older ones, with a distinctive oaky and peaty flavour, not as metallic as some equivalents. have sraight glass couple o drops of water makes it pop, no ice.

A man totally after my own heart and drinking it as it should be done, with just a couple of drops of water to release the flavour. Laphroaig Quarter Cask is nice too. Personal favourite is Ardbeg - the daddy of all Islay whiskys, but finding a bottle these days is rarer than the proverbial.

I once had the pleasure of sitting down with a couple of friends to savour a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label. Boy that is some nice whiskey. Now if only I could afford the price of the stuff I might actually drink more of it.

For Whiskey, I really like Bushmills Malt. Jamesons, Paddy, Black Bush or Bushmills for the regular stuff
For Whisky - I recently had the pleasure of a bottle of Jura.... very nice indeed. Knockando and all Macallans are very nice too. Having said that, there's so many Scotch malts to choose from and I have been through a fair few of them and I rarely dislike any of it. The only ones that I have remotely struggled with are Laphroaig and Bowmore.... very peaty flavours (not disimilar to TCP lol).

I always get a silly amount of whisk(e)y for Christmas, so here's hoping that this year won't be any different!

I mostly am drinking crown royal but also have jamesons, laphroaig (spelling?) and glenfiddich in the apartment. I am not an alcoholic it's a co-dependent relationship.

Wouldn't disagree initially. Got bought a bottle years ago and thought exactly the same thing re: the TCP. However, being a tight-arsed Yorkshireman I refused to waste it and the more I drank it, the better it got. Agree that it's perhaps an acquired taste though.

Not that expensive, but a pain to get where I am.

Honestly I only appreciate the quality of a whiskey or scotch for the first glass or two. After that I could be drinking alcoholic camel piss for all the difference I can tell. Alcohol destroys my sense of taste.

i've only had the blue label once myself found a bar in brighton that serves it at £8 a shot lovely stuff but the black label is certainly smoother on the pocket

Johnnie Walker

Pretty much any label of Johnnie Walker. Since I've started direct sales though, after every major sale I sit down with my CEO and we pour two glasses full of Blue and toast it. This event has inspired me way more so than the commission incentive! But I have to say Black is my favourite - seeing the accessibility of it an all (and I need easy, frequent access).
Also, good ole' American-tailored Jack Daniels Single Barrel. I've ordered that stuff by the skid since it seems hard to come by over here.

We have a bourbon called Bulliet out here on the west coast that is outstanding with an ice cube or two and you can get it for ~$20 a bottle at trader joe's. I think My all time fave is Rip Van Winkle 107 but it's hard to find.
