Big Mek - WIP

This is my second attempt for a model with large amount of metallic parts. The goal was to paint very worn out, very oxidized metal - as somebody joked and ogre right out of the swamp. What I found somewhat unclear is how such metal would reflect the light.
The second problem is his skin skin.
I cannot pinpoint good highlighting color without pushing this guy to much into yellow. So, any thoughts and critiques will be appreciated.

PS. Yes, I know glyphs on the gun were not weathered at all. I am planing to do it.

A couple thoughts on highlighting the green. If you dont want to push it to yellow, you can lighten the green with a ligh grey or kommando khaki, drawing it into a more neutral highlight, leaving the green the dominant color. Or, you can push the green shadows darker, maybe allthe way or most of the way to black.
I think the big fella is looking good, and I may steal an idea or two for mine.
