Hello everyone!
This is my first blog here, I apologize in advance for my English (my native language is Russian)

It's about the conversion of Space Marine from the movie SPACEMARINE Captain Severus in scale 1:16 (about 150mm)

About the model: a trifle indistinguishable on castings, asymmetry, beauty in general, as it is ;)
But was bravely stripped, painted and assembled quickly and easily
The result was something like this:

At the initial stage it is planned to remake:

- Transform-cloak, and then this looks like some kind of cloth, not on a real cloak of the military elite of 41st millenium
- Transform-boots, the original was too simple and small
- Add-on armor detail, and they had, like an egg, the impression that he was raised right there)
- Transform all-belts, pendants, etc. because 28mm Warhammer minis has much better detail
- Change-guy pose (he stands as a schoolboy;))

something like that

I started with the legs cut off the soles and cut them out of the plastic

the result was not satisfied, so I decided to elaborate further, of Greenstuff and plasticard

Completely cleared out the knee pads and completed sneakers;)

and then one of my friends asked him to do the same figure ...
I decided to make some of these figures
I remove all the small details...
when removed all the chains etc. decided that he has a very skinny legs;)
and again ...

then I did the first copy of the legs in order to put more details on the armor

It's cool that you're modding these - but be careful about re-casting.

Yep. You have to get the molds just right or else there are issues with the cast....errrr ummmm...I mean.... what Trystan said!

If you are not selling them, you should be fine.

Yep nice project this is only the second one of these i've seen on the wips. As for the ip laws etc as long as you dont have an identical production run you should be ok. Nice work on the breast plate winged skull by the way, you should try building your own largescale from scratch.

That's not true, if you are doing something similar and within the same vein as current stuff, you are still breaking the law. GW own the IP for space marine designs, the back pack, the over sized shoulder guards, it's all reather distinct. May be different in Russia, I know it is in Poland etc

this is a bit fuzzy though on this as the original sculptor is a guy called Donnell Belliza who i think is located in the Philippines. So he originally broke the ip law. i See you are in the Ukraine and they have a very large recasting company based there who do this model.

Nice work though great alternative to the original. looking forward to seeing paint on this.

Thanks for the feedback )))

My primary goal is to make quality figure, and then I'll think about the rest ;)
I have an idea to make a few figures of 40k on a large scale ...
From 1:16 to 1:6, has not yet decided
And about copyright in Ukraine ... well, you know;)

Kewl, any thoughts on basing for this bad boy? Looking forward to seeing it painted. As for cermaite, I always thought since it was a ceramic composite, it would be like pottery but it makes better sense to have it metallic looking for armor.
PS- on larger scale, oils/ airbrush/ pastels are your friends.
