... hopefully it\'s not as bad as Hitman looks. Video game movies... why do they always think this is a good idea?
I\'m not saying there haven\'t been some watchable ones over the years (Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, even the Tomb Raider ones are pretty fun to watch) but for every one of these you have a Street Fighter or Super Mario Brothers movie. I guess time will tell...

Your behind times on this Sanjay.. been discussed here a few times. Just the other day even in the cathulu movie thread..anyhoo.. big money is on a Godzilla remake. JJ Abrams is a Japanmese Monster movie fan.. especially Godzilla.. but it is one of the best kept secrets in hollywood right now.

Watching the trailer on the big screen before Beowulf and I\'m thinking it\'s not Godzilla. If it is it will be way more character driven then any previous big G movie. I\'m thinking something like it but not G.

If the last series of Lost is anything to go by, this could be worth getting excited about. JJ Abrams knows how to do suspense, how to do scares and how to make characters you actually care about.
I kind of hope you don\'t get to see the monster. Just keep it about the people freaking out and build the tension in a Blair Witch sort of way. Oh, or it could be a giant cloud of smoke of course!

It\'s easy to get carried up in this kind of hype...it\'s a fairly clever marketing tool but for me I have a few doubts....
Personally I\'m a simple sort of soul who likes to see the big bad ass monster ..the trailer startsto drag really when it\'s just people running around screaming shooting at stuff....
Looking at the angle of shooting they\'re definitely shooting high but the silhouette suggest something mansize...so I\'m gonna go with the alien Battle ship ala War of the worlds with a ground invasion contingent.. I just hope it doesn\'t hurt my brain too much to watch it....Gotta say though that JJ fella certainly keeps ya watching.

I\'m thinking its a giant monster with humanoid (bearoid) infectees/minions.
Unfortunately, all that is really there is the hype. I\'d love to think differently, but its most likely this will flop terribly (as a January movie release usually does). I\'ll still hold out hope though,

THERE is a smidge of a hint of a giant creature at 1:23-1:24
I know this is going to be utter utter shite. How do I know? Because they\'ve no built up enough hype that everyone will go to see it and they dont actually have to make a film. It could be TV static for an hour and a half but the theaters will be packed with people trying to find a code hidden in the dots.
