Hey all--it has been a while since I posted anything. Got a few coming down the pipeline, but here is the latest. A couple of firsts with this fella. My first go at a bit of battle damage; it\'s most prominent on the shield, but the helmet, hammer, and knee got dinged too. The part I am most happy about is the fairly extensive converting. The helmet is entirely made of GS as is the left forearm bracer (made to match the right forearm. The shield on his back was originally on his left forearm. Both hammers have also been swapped in. The mini was made for a coworker who played D&D a long time ago. This was his character. The clothing, armor, beard and eye color, and shield design were all from his character. I hope you like him! As always comments and critiques wanted.

Nice job! I think the sculpt is so and so I\'m afraid but the paintjob enhances it. I think you should give the face a bit more contrast to make it \"pop\" The browns and blues might also benefit from some more highlights. The freehand works great as an eyecatcher but unfortunately it\'s not entrirely centered on the shield which is a bit distracting. But all in all a good job! A 7 from me

Now where\'s that voting link? Wait here it is... ;)

Nice indeed! I really like the beard, nice treatment there. I\'m with Avelorn on the blues, the could help a further highlite or two. However, I think that what browns lack would rather be shades.
And if you use blue for that, it will make shades look colder and therefore deeper than your browns that are tonally closer to reds, warm colors that look closer than cold ones in highlites. To sum it up, blue is an effective way to shade warm colors, esp those close to reds...
Well, it remains a very nice mini :).
