i enjoyed painting this guy loads, it was a chance to go crazy with the freehand, and the small conversion was fun to do aswell.

lovely work! Crisp and clean, very nice style. The freehand makes the mini very interesting, it gives life to the surfaces. You\'re an incredible neat painter!

However I have a suggestion. The purple sword kinds of disrupts the balance of the composition IMO. you might have introduced that colour somewhere else to give balance.. (maybe even picked a complementary green) or just used any other mix of colour already on the mini.

i know what you mean avelorn, i did see this myself and i was looking for somewhere else to add the purple in, i managed the lense at the top but couldn\'t see any other decent place.

you could try to put a purple tyranid head on the opposite side of the base? could actually work.

sorry mate, no can do, it\'s a commission fig and the customer wants a plain base.
he\'s very happy with it and it is his money after all. nice idea though!

This mini is just amazing. I love the face and the freehand, its just awesome. I don\'t quite like the blade though. The purple dots on the blade looks a little wierd, I think it would be better with purple lightning or light purple on the tip that fades into dark purple at the bottom. An awesome mini, you\'re a master! And is that base the very same as the one you have on the golden BT champion?

Very nice work, I like the purple on the blade as it it gives the blade a shimmering effect & its not white, red or green lightning!

I could do with one like that in my collection!
