Black Templar Terminator

This model was very much inspired by Ap0k\'s amazing (final cut making) http://www.coolminiornot.com/135291

I\'m very happy with how most of it turned out and I\'m finally posting it so I don\'t keep fiddling with it. Quite pleased with the bone accents, most of the text and the reds. Not so happy with the banner and, like most, still struggling a bit with my highlighting.

Much fun was had - that\'s what matters.

Would love some final feedback:

Hey, turned out well, think what was said about the reds while it was in Wip was true, and you\'ve corrected nicely.
Good job
Voted:)

Looken good mrJ. My only comment would be that the red and blue clash a bit. His LC\'s would be better either in a glowing red or a bone color would just be Templar sickness...if you know what I mean. Other than that I think this is an excelent start to a Templar army!

Thanks for the feedback and the votes -- much appreciated. This is the first model that I really took my time to complete. Now it\'s back to commissioned armies :)

@olliekickflip: Good idea - when I pick this guy back up I might just do that.

As for the start of an army -- oh goodness no! Even though I don\'t play I\'ve started 3: Emperor\'s Children, Sisters of Battle and Traitor Guard -- all because I enjoy painting \'em. The last thing I need is another excuse to spend more money on minis for myself. Heh.

Oh, I actually played for years. I still have most of my Ork army sitting in boxes -- back from, oh, 1990? Back when there were Squat Launchers -- back when I could arm a group of snotlings with grenades and run \'em at enemy lines.

Sigh. Those were the good \'ol days.

Actually, my local gaming site is pretty great; I simply don\'t have the time to devote -- nor the focus to paint an army for myself. I\'ll do an army on commission but otherwise I paint whatever catches my fancy at the time :)

Right now I have some IG commission work -- and for me: a genestealer, Ultramarines terminator, dark apostle, 2 SoB models, a nurgle terminator conversion, my ME9 minis, and an early 90s Ork I pulled out last night all on my table.

I won\'t even talk about the WIP shelf. Oi.
