Hope you don't mind if I offer some advice. I know I always appreciate advice and it's what drives me to become a better painter. So let me preface this by saying feel free to stop on by my own WIP any time and drop some wisdom.
After such a lovely paint job, and using such a lovely plinth, I'd hate to see you let the whole thing down with a flat base. Not sure if it's still a WIP in its early stages if so disregard everything I'm about to say. But you could benefit from a few things. First, on my last project I was advised to thicken up my dirt, and it completely changed things. So this means for you that you need a honking pile of dirt, then maybe a bit if sand in the mix, then some small pebbles, then larger pebbles, then rocks like are already on the base. You need every size scale represented. So here is where you have fun. Take off everything but layer of dirt u already have, then but down some PVA or wood glue. Now grab a handful of your dirt mix and just slap on on chaotic like. When this dries, add another large blobby pile of the dirt. And more and more if you feel like it. Trust me, this is where your base starts to look real. Once all of this dries, you can prime it, if you want, then paint it. You could start with a dark brown and dry brush it with a tan, for instance. Whatever u like. Then add some rubble like the rock you already have. Problem is, you didn't highlight it. So drybrush it with a lighter gray. The base color you had it was actually probably too light-it looked like metal almost. Next, add a wash of green or brown everywhere. Then make sure to reaply highlights where they got washed out.
Your ur bush looked very artificial. You may be able to fix this with a dark wash or by painting it a more natural green. Same with your log. Paint on some darker browns to mimic bark. Actually, if personally look for a better specimen for a log. I'd also reccomend getting some tufts, brown and green. They're the single best piece of vegetation for basing. Finally, feel free to add bits of interest. A skull here, a discarded axe there. Above all, have fun!!!
Just trying to get that awesome paint job to match the base is all. Hope my comments aren't perceived as righteous or over bearing. Cheers!!!
