Another tip for newbies, very important if you can\'t take a lot of heat: don\'t test chilli heat at the tip of the pepper. Even a very hot variety can actually be quite sweet at the end. The capsaicins are concentrated in the pale parts inside that the seeds are attached to, inside the upper portion of the pepper (not the flesh and not the seeds).

Aye. If you\'re cooking with chillis and want the flavour without the heat, you scrape out all the seeds and in doing so also remove that inside membrane with all the hot in it.

Personally, I think you\'re quite mad. Why not just play the game and earn the level without mass murdering your tastebuds? Are they really worth that much XP? ???

I\'ve tried daves insanity sauce, and it was not nice. I wouldn\'t do this for a character level, i\'d just play the game

I didnt think insanity sauce was that bad..

Well I dont think its the sort of thing you shake on your food and think

Mmmm mmm mmm - tasty!

I like spicy food, but silly chilli hot and spicy are very different. Enjoy the game and keep the tastebuds I say!

P.s - and yes, correctly noted I dont do macho displays lol

I\'m not good at chillies, put I do like the after-effects, that almost trippy, mellow feeling. I wonder, do these super-powerful chillies instil a sort of drug-like quality as well, a la Homer Simpson?

Have you done the deed yet?

This is probably one of those things where it doesn\'t do well to think about it.....

well my friends are contemplating getting me a bottle of the 6am reserve. problem is that it costs around $600..... so i told them i would be glad to try it...but i will not pay for my own pain.

i am now wondering if friends is the appropriate addage.

we may have to settle for the 3am... which is $40 and only 12 million scoville.

the 6am is somewhere around 20-25 scu.

i cant believe i just said only 12 million. lol

12 million??

dude, just find a cop, get his pepper spray, put the nozzle in your mouth and spray until it comes out your ears... Then hold your eyes open and give them a shot at point blank. (after the contacts are removed of course).

Trust me, it will be less painfull.

Be sure to eat lots of boiled eggs the day of as well as have lots of beer (frosty ice cold) standing by to properly numb you with.

airhead: no you dont get it. they said 12 million is too little because my friend fred did 15 million.... so i have to do the 20 million one. which i am fine with.... but know it will be like 6 months before these guys can save up enough money to buy the stuff. lol...if ever. but i already agreed the 12 million is just a small amount compared to the 20 million 6am reserve.

Blaire\'s 3am is 1.5-2, not 12 mil.

It\'s only about 35 to 40 bucks a bottle, so much better value anyway.

6am is 10-16 mil incidentally, not 20-25 - pure capsacin in concentrated form is about 16 million.

I have a hot sauce called Da Bomb. It is a sauce with over 100,000 scoville units. One tiny drop and your mouth will burn badly for hours! My sister once played a prank on me and made me a quesadilla with about 20 drops of the stuff in it. You can imagine how that went.

according to one of my friends they put a q-tip amount into a popcorn popper, you know to make the popcorn spicy. what they didnt take into account was that it would evaporate and go into the air.

the entire 3rd floor of an office building had to be evacuated for the rest of the day.

it was the equivalent of spraying pepper spray for 20 minutes in an enclosed space.

from that point on if you used the popcorn popper you were only allowed to use popcorn...no butter.

Seriously, I\'d put a stop on it. Unless you\'re a masochist, this must be about machismo. High school was a long time ago, squire :]
