Blending

I\'m quite new to painting minis, only painted for 3 months. Can someone please explain how to blend colours for me?

for example you want a green mini
after you primed it with black you paint it with dark green then:
you can use drybrush->take a bit of lighter green with the brush clean it on a paper until you see no more strokes of color and pass it gently on the mini
you can mix colors->take the dark green and mix it with a little of lighter green or directly with white (it\'s up to you) then put a thin layer on the part you want to highlight then do again until you get the right blend
you can use wet colors->for this you must use a drying retarder or work very quickly.put the dark green and when the color is still wet take a little of white and pass it on the dark green it\'s a little tricky and you have to exercise but it has great potential

if you also are doing tanks or some sorta transport its really cool to dry brush it with bolt gun metal makes it look like it has been used in battle often if you are doing warhammer 40k
works best with the space marnines and orks
