So, I had my last exam on monday, so by all rights I should be enjoying the relaxing holiday before sixth form by chilling out with my friends, having a laugh etc etc.

Fate however, decided to change all this. My stomach keeps on having severe pain straight up the centre of my stomach, which can cripple me, and I am being forced by my body to go to the toilet every ten or twenty mins. So yeah, I\'m effectively housebound, feeling quite ill, and neither of my parents are here, and my sister is at school.

I am in immense pain, and I\'m ill two days after my exams. Damn.

Oh, and it may be pendicitis (SP) but I\'m not to sure.

I\'m no doctor but I think you can effectvely rule out kidney stones if you are going to the toilet a lot without immense pain.
Gall stones are a possibility seeing as that gives patients crippling stomach pain.

I suggest visiting your GP or calling NHS Direct as nobody is at home, they can give you proper advice!

I would suggest you call one of your parents sharpest and get them home to sort you out.

I am sure they would rather get home and sort you out than to come home later today and find you sprawled on the floor.

It seems to have calmed down abit, but I still stay within sprinting distance of the bog. It\'s not pendicitis, after going on the NHS website.

Just annoying it strikes me now.

Is it a crippling pain which makes you unable to walk? If so it could be gastroenteritis which fortunately isn\'t very serious at all, just a bit painful for a while.

Peace and love...

Rate my stitching! lol

Make sure you\'re drinking plenty to replace lost fluids, Rosac. Preferably cool boiled water with a lil salt and sugar in it - it helps to replace electrolytes.

I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV...

Sounds like a dose of food poisoning (mild) or a virus. If it does not get better within 24 hours, get to a doctor.

BRAT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast.
Bananas keep your electrolites up.
All are very easy on the digestive tract.

Lots of fluids to replase loss.

WRONG
Gastroenteritis can kill.
It nearly did killl Fran and seriously affected one of my neices for several weeks.
People , as well as babies, with underlying health issues (detected or not) ..such as Crohn\'s Disease or Diabetes can be as serious risk.

There is still the Novovirus (Winter Vomiting Bug) bouncing around, mostly as Amazon Warrior says Warm water, Plain food and time. but if not clear after 24-36 Hours....Off to the Vet laddie.

gatorade is now in Britain afaik. It does seem like made up science at first glance, a bit like \'bifidus digestivum\' (to help you make stool samples easier ;) ) or those anti wrinkle creams.

Well, having used it for both its intended purpose (we drinks a lot of it around here) and to keep my electrolite balance up due to the trotskis (both here at work and at home) I can say it do work.
