Blighted Bokur Wip> need some help deciding

Decided to convert an Ogrun Bokur for my Cryx army. Never liked the original model and I needed something blighted and twisted anyway, so I decided to go with a Warmonger as a basis.

The base needs a little more sandpapering (is that a word?) but I\'m not longer sure that the banner is such a good idea.
It\'s a bit of a overkill, even for me...and the whole thing doesn\'t fit in my transport case because of it.

Also, has anyone any bright ideas concerning skin color? I\'ll use copper and chainmail on the armor so I thought going with a khaki/bleached bone/white combo.
Not so terribly sure about that either.
I\'d appreciate your input.

cant help you with the colours but sanding is the word you are looking for!

also i say scrap the banner, i think it is a little too much

I\'m happy to have him done, not so terribly satisfied with the rust but it\'s ok, I guess.

I was just about to say that the rust looks cool to me. I think that if the steel/iron is rusty, maybe the brass/bronze should be corroded too? Maybe give it some spot washes with greens and blues. I find hawk turquoise useful for that sort of thing. Also, please turn the flash off when you take photos! If the flash is off, try to arrange your light source so that it isn\'t relecting so strongly off the model- it makes it quite hard to see details.

Yeah, the flash...I don\'t have a lightbox ( maybe after x-mas?) and it was very overcasted when I took the picts.
The skin came out perfect with a light green pastell color. The rust was mainly experimenting with vallejo\'s new panzer aces rusts (dark rust and jellowish rust). The copper parts are highlighted with a mix of copper and gold (flash killed it....) and were then , in part, treated with a verdigris wash (when you look closely you can see it).

Still not 100% happy the with way the armor and the skin looks on the picts but at least the flash doesn\'t kill the whole thing.

Hey what\'d you use for the little plant things on the base?

@Necroghast: The plants are just normal railroads scenery (plastic and dirt cheap); it\'s easy to bend into shape and relatively sturdy stuff. It woudn\'t survive gaming more than a couple of weeks otherwise.
