Blizzard Minis?

Okay, if any of you\'ve played Starcraft or Warcraft, you know that the Blizzad games fit very well into the miniature genre. Heck you\'ve got little people fighting on the screen all the time! Even though they\'re going into Platform gaming with Ghost, there\'s still no sign of a mini game from them. So am I the only one that wants some?

To me, the Warcraft series is unique because of the back story and the fact that trolls aren\'t stupid brutes (that would be the orges, who usually have 2 heads). In Warcraft III, you now get a Hero who levels up by defeating the \"Creeps\" on the map, like Gnolls and Kobolds and Firbolgs and such.. Sound like an RPG to you? Sure did to me, and we all know how well D&D manages in the Mini game world.

Blizzard did put out their line of action figures, but it\'s not the same..If they don\'t start making some, I\'ll just have to refine my sculpting skils....

PS: anyone notice in the cineamatic that shows the evil blade Frostmourne that it\'s etched with Elven runes from Warhammer? Or that the new griffin rider remarks that his Warhammer cost 40K?

I think a lot of companies who own the rights for a popular game or movie can earn a lot of money with miniatures, even the minis themselves, without a game.

And oh yeah, warcraft/starcraft minis would be very cool yes

I do think a brand has put out starcraft marines (I think zvezda or italeri, not sure).
I\'ll check it out.

Blizzard did at one point have a deal with WotC to do some commemorative Starcraft figures, but the deal fell through before they hit market.

That said, I\'d love to see a Starcraft miniature wargame. Been twitching to collect a zerg army for a long time now... *drool*

well I am a big blizard fan, and I also would really like to see some starcraft or warcraft mini coming out. I know that they made a deal with some toy company to have kinda small figurine representing stuff from starcraft, warcraft, and diablo. But these are more like cheap platique and really badly painted stuff. maibe you could try to get on and repaint it to see what it looks like. Other then that you could take a GW space marine and convert it into a Blizard SM it shouldn\'t be too much work.

I just recently went into yet another\'blizzard\' phase.

I \'preordered\' the expansion pack for Warcraft 3, which set off a series of Blizzard events.

I reinstalled and played \"Starcraft\". This causes me to actually go to the book store, where I looked for a \'novel\' of Starcraft. Since I couldn\'t find that I found a Warhammer 40K novel (space marines vs. Tyranids!) That in turn led to my \'I should start collecting Warhammer 40k figs\' Especially the marines and tyranids.

Since then I have recieved my expansion pack, but haven\'t found the time to play the darn game!!

BUT, I also got the Blizzard Warcraft 3 collectors edition. It has a \'the art of Warcraft\' book which I highly recommend.

It also has a DVD of all the \'cinematics\' from Warcraft 2,3, Starcraft, Diablo, so on. COOL COOL COOL.

During this \"blizzard\" mind, I have often wondered why there are no BLIZZARD minis. It would seem like a natural extension of the series.

even thought i cant stand blizzard but only half as much as GW here we go and i could rant on for a bit about that, here we go,

they have two boxes of diablo minis, from D&D or some crap, or rather it was diablo 2 minis, a box of good guys and one of bad guys. theyre pretty decent looking. also they have translated the diablo and starcraft universe into roleplaying books. im not sure which system they use but ive seen both the books, and....... i think my friend got one of them or some thing with a deluxe edition of one of thier games..... or maybe it was the comic book of diablo..... i forget. its out there.

Diablo minis?

Now a good range of Diablo minis would do me just fine! Loved the original and couldn\'t stop playing it Starcraft was a little too tactical for me (yeh, I like a bit more action and find it difficult to get into that kind of game!). Never played Warcraft though...would have been worth the wrestling with tactics and strategy as the depth to that game is superb - saw my mate play it enough and it sucked him right in!

But again, Diablo minis...:duh: Makes me go funny!

I also have the collector edition of warcraft 3 and I have to say that the art of warcraft book is really, it has a lot nice dioramas ideas in it. And the other day I was watching the intro to Starcraft broodwar and I thought that would be an easy scene to make, just use a tyranid to make the zergling and a space marine to make .... yes the space marine. I\'ll have to try it some day.

I really wish I could make my \"bases\" look as good as the tilesets in Warcraft 3.

You are dead on though. One can get alot of ideas from both the art book and actually just playing the games!

I thought some of the scenes in Dungeon Siege would also be very \'diorama-worthy\'.

I have loved Warcraft since my college roommate got the shareware back in 1994. Holy crap that\'s a long time ago. Back then all you needed to produce was Orc Spearmen and you would win the game. Nothing could get past a row of 20 of these guys.

I have been wanting miniatures from Blizzard for the longest damn time. I would love the Dwarf King. The characters I\'d love to see are these:

the Abomination -W3
Dwarf King -W3
Zealots -SC
Hydrolisks -SC
Medics -SC
Griffon Rider -W3
Dwarf Rifleman -W3
Goblin & Dwarf demolition teams -W2
Night Elf cat riders -W3


oh hell, about 80% of the stuff. I\'d even buy the peasants to paint.

I was thinkin\': if people really want Blizzard minis, some thin could come from Confrontation... For example, the Dwarf mortar team is.... the Dwarf Mortar Team . Also, Golborak looks ALOT like a goblin cutter, he just needs a buzz saw arm. I\'s still like to see Grom Hellscream and Thrall, though....

BTW, anyone know how to get i touch with Blizzard? Maybe we could send them a petition or something like that. All that\'s on the website is product info....

That would be a great idea I\'m ready to signe a petition. And to get in touch with blizzard maybe you could just look on their site they must have they\'re e-mail adresse.
