hey CMON...

here is the first piece i've painted just for fun, after ten years of commission work and contests...
it was fun to just mess around again...
i think i over did it a little with my lighting...
i'll try another round soon...
brightness aside, i hope you like what you see...

it was fun to build this guy when the Sanguinary Guard kit came out...
unfortunately, it took me three years to get back around to him...
i'll be taking the gold recipe (heavy on the Sanguine Base for shading), and increasing the contrast a bit more for the next golden guy i paint, the Big E...

thanks for looking...

i hope you like him...

cheers

I like how light you went with the metal almost to silver. That's some truly nice TMM!

As always, nice to see your work - it's always so clean it just looks like it's box art (in a good way!).

If only you painted more than a few minis a decade :p

Wow, can't believe this is plastic- it seems people can get a lot out of those. Everything looks superb! The metals, the jetpack light, power weapon! If I saw this with a squad of BA behind him, I'd be running!

thanks, all...

glad this dude is getting a nice reception...
i've never painted so much gold before...
i learned a lot of lessons to apply on the next paintjob...

the glowing jetpack was a first...
i think i can do better next time...

@Squidders: i'm trying to increase my output...
it's so frustrating, being such a slow painter...
i just have to keep reminding myself that i'm pushing my boundaries with each paintjob...

cheers
