Hi All,

I posted a little while ago and have been experimenting with different reds. I saw this on the featured auctions:

that is exactly what I am looking for in the colour. Does anyone know how I would get that red? I\'ve tried everything.

You might want to try sending the artist a message.

I would wager you need a black base, followed by scab red, then blend in a little blazing orange and vermin brown for a wash.

But I would probably lose that wager.

It will take more than one color to produce, and a few different washes I am pretty sure.

If you ask the artist, they might be able to help you more directly.

aye what Shad said...I use dark bases for reds and they often come out dulled like this...totally unintentional mind. Use real thin layers on a dark base...should work.
