Blue Tack

I\'m sure this has been asked before but anyways. Every time I try to stick my mini to the top of a paint pot using blue tack it seems that it isn\'t strong enough to hold the metal mini when I\'m painting it. Any tips?
PS: I use Blue Tack, The original re-usable adhesive, not sure if this makes any difference.

it works if the mini is attached to the base.
i know because that what i do with the regiment commisions i get.

Blue Tack doesn\'t really have real any tensile strength and has elastic properties which can render it unsuitable for holding articles with centres of gravity well away from the adhesion point.
Therefore tall models may well be unable to be retained by blue tack. Factor in the adhesion surface of what you are using as a handgrip and the whole process/method can become unstable and \"Weak\".

for ogres and 54mm i pin both feet and attach the model to a stack of cork i glue together.
