This is a book that, in my opinion, is a must to have on your bookshelf

The author, Danilo Cartacci, is a multiple award winner in the historical world and was the painter half of the Best of Show winner at the 2005 World-Expo and his work is often seen gracing Pegaso and other manufacturers box-tops.

I have the book, and the photography is simply amazing, with numerous SBS photos of many 54mm and 75mm figures from the historical world of miniatures. He uses a mixture of mediums, mainly acrylics but also smart use of oils here and there.

The techniques are equally applicable to fantasy minis though!!!!

Oh man, Thanks. I did not know that he was doing a book. He is absolutely one of the best figure painters. His work is great in print and truly humbling to see in person. Hopefully I can get one in English.

Just purchased it oday on ebay....£20 £1.50 postage.... That was about the prices I saw it elsewhere online but I had money on Paypal begging me to spend it.. Cheers for pointing it out as it saved me buying more minis....

The examples on his front cover look sweet. Is he a Cmon member?
