Four weeks to go, and the way things are shaping up, any one who enters is likely to win as we have no competitors at the moment at all:bouncy:
You know the rules...if you dont just re-read this thread. I wont be persecuting you because to be honest I could have done without all this, so if no one enters I will be a happy bunny..

As we need to be able to select entries, might I be as bold as to suggest that you register entries as; \'VA Marines\'.
I know it sounds a bit false but it is better than : \"Marine, Boring into Art\" or whatever...
For all those peeps who said that the timescale was too long...BOOO!!!lol

To say I\'m in a state of shock would be an understatement - I\'ve just had a week off work and I could\'ve got my butt in gear for this....

Going back a bit someone asked a question about another model and the reply is also appropraite here:
Hi JimG! Welcome to the gang. I think you ought to look back a few posts and have a quick look at the rules. I appreciate what you are saying about the basic (very basic!) nature of space hulk termies, but the original challenge was to paint a basic space marine, no characters, no special weapons, no rank, helmet on etc. Now you can post any figure you like, but I suspect that you will be absolutely hammered in the voting by the other contestants if you post a librarian terminator. I know it\'s basic, but it does seem to contravene a number of the agreed rules. Sorry to sound like a party pooper!
Does that answer your question? I am not in a position to really enforce rules or adjudicate too much, but if I were an entrant, and voting, I would knock at least one point off for anyone who hadn\'t stuck to the letter of the law.....:innocent:

Really good point Tuubje..I don\'t have a clue how many people are actually intending to submit a mini.
In fact, I don\'t have a clue how I got embroiled in this thing in the first place...something to do with tabithatan I seem to remember...:innocent:

Just a thought, and I will repost this, but people need to submit their minis with a view to easy searching by interested parties.
Might I be so bold as to suggest that minis are posted as \'VA marines\'. I have been trying to think of a non-pretentious title that avoids words like boring and art as they are too loaded.
VA simply stands for \'Value Added\' which was the point of the original discussion.
Open to suggestions as usual though as this is not my competition but yours

Absolutely....
Whoever gets the highest open vote gets to feel nice and smug, but I see my only role in this as to collate the entrant\'s votes on each other and generate a \'competitor\'s winner\'. It would then be up to individuals if they wanted to send a pot of paint, bits from their bitz box, or a priceless collectible mini to the \'in house\' winner.
(I think the last option is a bit fanciful)
I think we left a long lead time after posting to see how the open voting panned out. The most important thing, as far as I was concerned ,was what each competitor felt about the other entries.
