I have allowed myself to get way too behind with other projects, not the least of which is feeding a 3 month old. As a result I will not be posting mine in time. HOWEVER! I am still good for the pot of paint. I still want to encourage all such competitions. I look forward to participating in the next one.

Well with work and other deadlines I\'ve completely blown this one! Which was a pity as I had a concept based on something I\'d stared years ago. Never mind, I\'ll post it later and you can have a laugh.
(In penance I\'ve got two bottles of Vallejo to go towards the prize!)

It\'s entirely up to the other folks what they send, but at the moment Alexgrunt looks kinda unassailable with a mere couple of hours to go.
Really great job as well. The freehand on those shoulderpads is awesome considering their size...
People should also continue posting if they are halfway through, because the competition wasn\'t the sole objective of the exercise, just a little \'exciter\' that didn\'t really work. Va marines will still provide a good exemplar of what we are so often talking about on the forums ie what the painter does for the sculpt, not what the sculpt does for the painter

Well, I still want to finish it, but there\'s no chance of beating what\'s already posted with the current status, and any time I can squeeze in any painting I\'m going to put towards VIC 9 which still has 2 weeks. Expect my cowboy at the end of November.
Anyway, sudden obligations mean I won\'t be getting home til 10+ tonight, so no time to photo and post even what I got.

Currently at work my helpdesk calls stand at 20 raised this week alone, as well as the 6 projects I\'ve got running in the background.
As for painting figures.....................Don\'t go there! Too many to do in so little time, and I just ordered another resin biggie!

Entering a competition is not just about talent and skill. It\'s also about organisation and discipline. It doesn\'t matter that yours was the only entry...that is not your fault...is it?
