Necromancer
Remember when orks were... well, crazy and fun? Taking whatever they could, throwing it together (likely with \"lotsa nails\") and using it right away on the field (\"testin\'s for pansies\")? I remember! My ideas tend to be left-of-center to begin with, but keeping in mind the legacy of fun orks, I crafted this fellow, Da Boss of da Madkowz.
In game terms, the ork is armed with a \'uge choppa and a custom blasta while the cow is a \"counts as\" cyboar (or just ignored entirely if you can\'t get over the physics of rollerskates + rockets + mud). Likely the cow wouldn\'t survive once the rockets are lit -- for that matter, likely the ork isn\'t going to survive once the rockets are lit.
The cow is from the Warhammer Fantasy Giant with legs, head and tail repositioned. Imperial Guard boots make dandy skates. I learned a lot about green stuff from this project, but unfortunately I am still a pretty sucky sculptor. Some WIP shots:
This was my entry for 40K Single Figure at Atlanta Gamesday 2007, but alas it didn\'t place.
If you feel the urge to vote, please do.
Thanks,
-Kep
