Both armies wiped out - what happens?

Had a really great mirror match with Starks today that literally went to the wire.

We both had a single wound left on the table, myself with a Mormont vet and my opponent a Winterfell Guardian. I attacked the guardian who passed his panic test and scored the final wound on me, but I had last stand, so attacked him and killed him.

So, who wins?

I just want to say that it was a great game and neither player was looking for an advantage over the other, but it seems like a 1 in a 1000 chance, so would be good to know what other players think should happen.

As a side point, the even we were at used ASOIAF stats, which would not allow us to declare both players as wiped out!!

Your opponent won as they met the victory conditions when you were destroyed and so the game would immediately end then, regardless of you having a card you could otherwise have played.

I put the game in as a wipe out for my opponent because nobody was quite certain what to do, plus he gained 6 vps to my 5, so seemed fair.

The issue is that the card says 'Before removing the unit' so it was removed 'after' my opponents unit.

Again, just trying to be certain of how this should work, not trying to change the outcome either way from what was a cracking game!!

I feel like this is one of those cards that should read "would be destroyed". Namely because of the text "before removing".... You can't have time travel in the game. The last model needs to have been removed to achieve "is destroyed".

So this one comes down to the card. If it's JUST before unit destruction, you win. If it's at or after destruction, he wins.

My opinion is that the last stand attack completely resolves before removing it from the the table. So in that case the opponent unit would be removed first, thus winning OP the game.
