Ok time to go out to the Garage/Workshop guys.

Just found an excellent bargain in ALDI.

Router Table for £30 (£29.99)
1200 Watt Router to fit £25 (£24.99)

Last time I was aiming to buy a Router Table I was looking at thick end of £160, so this is a bargain.
Router takes 6mm, 8mm and ¼inch bits.
Seems like I can make that Carry Case/Display Cabinet after all.

Yep that's the plan for this weekend. Might also get that tapered plinth made. Nothing quite like breathing sawdust for fun........<Cough, Sneeze, Damn Inefficient mask>

MOST sawdust is ok.

BUT avoid treated wood, anything with glues (laminates), and some exotic woods.

I did a flag case for the wife of a good friend. He had been a missionary in Africa for 20+ years, so I made it from African Zebrawood.

It smelled like mucking a zebra stall while it was being milled.

Lots of laquer kept it nice and not so stinky for her - and his flag.

I'd avoid all dust tbh, although the glued stuff is worse, standard can still cause pneumoconiosis

something like one of these is great if you do a bit of DIY with power tools.

Plug the shop vac into the vac outlet, plug the power tool in the main outlet.

Then when the saw is turned on, the vac turns on automatically.
When the saw is turned off, the vac stays on another 30 seconds - then shuts off automatically.
