fancied having a go at this, so here\'s my attempt.
It\'s not a WIP as I\'m not painting the whole mini, not at this stage anyway. I just chose this mini because of the Armour
just looking for some feedback at the mo

and because if I didn\'t someone would ask what mini it is, here\'s the front

I think you need to up the contrast dramatically, going to more yellowy tones in the highlights and tealish tones in the shading.

yeah I think you are right
IRL it is a bit more yellow, maybe I\'m messing the pick up in RAW Therepee
I think I\'ll try re-processing the pic with the mini by the monitor

For Brass NMM I tend to use Vallejo Midstone brought up to the \"Flare\" by adding white.
Vallejo Burnt Umber as a glaze forms the shadowing tone and Vallejo Blue Green the oxidization.

hmm that\'s interesting Mike, I did look at midstone, but wasn\'t too sure, might just give it a try now

I didn\'t use midstone in the end, went with one of the ochres
as this is only a tester, I\'ve only re-touched the lower armour

Looks good so far, I\'d try to smoothen out the transition by adding in more midtone to the plates, and adding more highlights to up the contrast. You might also want to think about adding some verdigris, glazes of a jade colour?
