Brass Scorpion

This is my first image post, so please bear with me. XP

I just finished my Brass Scorpion with a little inspiration from these to two sites:

The main difference is in the tail mounting. I didn\'t like the double/single ball joint method, so I came up with my own. I basically cut the 3rd defiler body in three sections like in the \"Scorpion King\" version, but then cut off the two joint connection sections so as to have the curve on the back leg section. I then cut the gears off of the claw arm and glued them into the depressions behind where I cut them off. Then pinned/glued the section into place and filled the rear hatch hole with A+B epoxy so the pin will have something to grab a hold of. (See the underside pix) I also mounted the Dem Cannon under the front legs/torso. I was going to mount it in front like the original Brass Scorpion, but then thought it would look like some big fancy daemon penis, so I mounted it underneath! :) I liked the idea of armor plates like the Forge World one ( and others ), so I added some armor plates. Although I did think about using the Dark Eldar Raider for carapace armor like I have seen.... Oh well, I like how it turned out!

I like it. You have great attention to detail therefore making this look as an out of the box stock kit.

Have you decided what legion you will paint it up as? Forgive me if that\'s not the correct terminology for CSM\'s.

Thanks everyone! The Brass Scorpion is (traditionally, although I have seen ones dedicated to the other gods of Chaos) a Daemon Engine of Khorne for those that don\'t know. As for the paint job I haven\'t decided on the color scheme. I could go with the red/brass theme, or the black/brass theme. I did see one painted all brass with red armor plates that looked really good! I do want to paint the daemon torso like a Khorne daemon should be, just haven\'t decided on the rest of it yet!:D

I have seen some khorne daemons painted with almost white skin, check out this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/bloodt1.htm to see what I mean. The white skin really suits them I think, gives a lot of contrast to the dark red and black :)
