I just finished my Brass Scorpion with a little inspiration from these to two sites:

The main difference is in the tail mounting. I didn\'t like the double/single ball joint method, so I came up with my own. I basically cut the 3rd defiler body in three sections like in the \"Scorpion King\" version, but then cut off the two joint connection sections so as to have the curve on the back leg section. I then cut the gears off of the claw arm and glued them into the depressions behind where I cut them off. Then pinned/glued the section into place and filled the rear hatch hole with A+B epoxy so the pin will have something to grab a hold of. (See the underside pix) I also mounted the Dem Cannon under the front legs/torso. I was going to mount it in front like the original Brass Scorpion, but then thought it would look like some big fancy daemon penis, so I mounted it underneath!
I liked the idea of armor plates like the Forge World one ( and others ), so I added some armor plates. Although I did think about using the Dark Eldar Raider for carapace armor like I have seen.... Oh well, I like how it turned out!
