Breaking free of your selected 'Genre'

I got burned out on GW for a while, and switched to painting Privateer Press. Not a huge jump, but different from WHFB. The biggest changes I make isn't from genre to genre, I change it up by trying new techniques. The biggest one was switching from heavily armored brutes from WHFB, to a Freebooter Fairy painted with the zenithal highlighting juicing/glazing method described by Automaton(Sebastian Archer) and Olliekickflip(Aaron Lovejoy). It was fun, different, and really helped my skill level.

After I was forced to stóp doing anything hobby-related during the last 3 month due to severe time-shortage, I find it difficult to get going again. I have to finish my marine for Jesterz group project and some Freebooters Fate assasines for my sister but I find it difficult to concentrate. So I think I might take the advice from this thread and start with something totally different to get back into the flow. Maybe some terrain would be just what I need for those creative juices...
