And here\'s the link for voting: KingM\'s Brettonian

Sorry the pic is a little dark, see what you think

it looks like your right hand lamp let you down. Reversing the lamps in the profile portrait would be a big plus I think.

The fleur de lys thingy looks great. Very good paint job on a very cool model.

One thing is that the flesh looks too uniform in color. That may just be the pic, but it looks like he could use a bit more color, on his cheeks, under his eyes...that sort of thing. I think that would make him look more alive.

I still gave a 9 though...

Very nicely done, this is not an easy model to do, I know I did it myself and found it very daunting. The other comments are valid but I do not think it detracts from the finished model and is an easy 9 for me.
I realy must repost mine some time soon.

@tidoco2222 - Just had a look at your one, looks great, the freehand work is excellent

We\'ve both taken this model in completely different directions with regards to colours and tone, just shows how different the same model can look

Very nice, I agree with Supervike as regards the flesh, I gave him a 9 too
I\'ve got a FW Skaven bust I must get round to finishing, one day

A good looking bit of work and a solid 8 from me, although I almost docked you a mark for poor spelling - it\'s Bretonnian. Why does everyone seem to get that wrong?

I like the darker tones and the shield\'s metal edging a lot. The skin comes across a bit flat to me and the shape of the fleur de lys looks a tad less elegant than it could, which are the only real downers.

Oh, and you\'ve magic wanded some of the chainmail out of his head in the top picture unless this is a really badly cast figure!

I wasn\'t expecting that kind of bust:D
Is that a whacking big forgeworld thing?
How long did it take? I\'m currently struggling with a Rackham large-scale resin statue and the time taken is starting to piss me off:mad:

Hi there!

It\'s a great piece of painting, and the work on the shield is excellent.

My main criticism would be the face - it\'s a big canvas to work on and I feel it lacks a little life and character, and as the others have said a little too uniform.

other than that, good solid work

lol I didn\'t even realise

Yeah it is a shame about that, only noticed that after I\'d posted it, it\'s where the metallics were reflecting the light and looking the same as the original white background

I wasn\'t expecting that kind of bust:D

I won\'t ask what kind of bust you were expecting lol

It\'s probably about 9 or 10 cm heigh, so I think that\'s a fair bit smaller than those lovely (but pricey:~( ) Rackham ones. I\'ts a bit difficult to say how long it has taken as I painted it on-off as a break from other pieces. I think there is probably around 10 hours work in there - but I do paint quite fast

Just posted a better pic to get rid of the shadow and magic wand problems that were mentioned, plus there is a close-up of the face.

It\'s Here

btw, I mis-spelt Bretonnian on the image title again, but in a slightly different way

Yup it just goes to show how different the same model can be, I\'ve voted and commented on the new pic much better.

Blimey! I read this as Brettonia or Bust lol Joking aside, its a lovely model and the freehand on the shield is fab. I agree with the comment about the lighting, it makes the righthand side look in shadow. But a lovely piece nonetheless. Well done :D
