Bro duties

My brother has been ranting about his hair loss and I've been telling him he has nothing to worry about because it is normal for his age (37). He says his dating options will shrink. I don't believe this. Is it true?

I see so many folks here in Oz who deliberately shave bald. It is probably done for easier hygiene, but I bet it hardly detracts from their dating options. It's all in the confidence with which your brother carries himself. I doubt it would matter much to a girl if she was really interested in him, whether he were bald, balding, or had a full mop of hair.

I guess his wife leaving him did a number on his confidence.

I searched in google for "bald men in their 30's" and somehow got to this amazon page. It is a review of some sort and I realized that there are really a lot of men who are as young as my brother or even younger battling with this situation. I just hope that he does not use it as an excuse to not pick himself up again. Thank you everyone for "enlightening" (for lack of better word) me!

Just embrace your baldness,... just accept it and go with it. Do not,.. I repeat, DO NOT try wrapping that one hair you have left, all up and around your head. The comb-over is a terrible thing. You still look bald,.. but now you look bald AND stupid.
