Brown or green stuff?

Bear in mind, I have never sculpted. Which one should I get? Or is a mixture of both good? If so, what ratio? Any tips and/or tutorials on how to use each would be really nice as well. Thanks in advance.

There are many other materials out there, but if you just want brown stuff and green stuff heres what I\'d say:

Sculpting: 50 50 mix
Gap filling: BROWN definitely

Can you mix them into a single compound? Would that work? Or do you mean to use Greenstuff for some parts, and Brown for the rest?

@Jericho: I mean mixing them into one compound, I\'m not sure if it\'ll work though.

@freak: I have but they talk mostly of other putties and I wanted to know just a little more about these two.

of course it works

milliput and greenstuff is one of the best mixes for a large variety of things, i highly recommend it if you like to sand and clean up your sculpt work after the fact

its also cheaper and easier to obtain in many cases

i dislike how GS works for sculpting most things

dont rule out other putties

magic sculpt, procreate, milliput, milliput superfine, apoxie sculpt and so on

??? There have to be dozens of previous threads that talk about GS! And BS gets mentioned a fair bit when the subject of getting harder edges or more carvability comes up (in the context of a GS discussion).
