Er, not even close!

They\'re fine for basic painting work but you won\'t get nearly the same kind of performance from them for detail painting.

If someone plans to order brushes from Dick blick, I would be more than happy to jump in. My problem is that I have no creditcard and can not get the brushes at all (from Dick Blick, that is... I could get them at an insane price here though (30€ for one brush and I have to order 3 minimun of the same size)); I would be very grateful. I can pay per Paypal; of course I would need you to ship the brushes to Germany then, and of course I would pay the shipping costs.

Does anyone else find that sizes below 0 are near-useless? I have two W&N s7 00\'s and while the tips are unsurpassed, a lot of the time the paint in the tip dries between the palette and the mini! So I get no line or dot when I try to paint. Of course more diluted paints fix this problem but are also bad for eyes because they run into crevices and don\'t make a dot... :(

NSA, yeah, that\'s another reason to use larger brushes generally (although the problem is not usually quite so pronounced except with something like the Vallejo alcohol-based colours!)

I paint close to the palette to minimise this sort of problem but I do know what you mean, I\'m sure it\'s happened to most people at least once, particularly during dry weather. I can\'t imagine how tough it must be to paint somewhere like the Southwest at certain times of year

brushes

hi, i bought some last christmas and noticed the differance straight away, kept there shape and a joy to use, get the miniature series as the tip is smaller than GW tips.
you do have to keep them very clean though as they will curl & fishtail if you dont, buy a good cleaner that gets into the ferral as i used warm soapy water and it did\'nt do the job, exspensive mistake:(
