Hi folks, For those that dont know I have been commissioned to do some concepts and sculpts in order to be casted and sold to everyone... since I have finished some new stuff and I will do plenty more colaborations in the near future I opted to open this thread to resume everything here.
What differs this from other projects threads I have, is that these sculpts will be available to all since they will be casted and sold.
Here I hope to get feedback and sugestions since these are sculpted for you. Without further delays here you go:

Now covering bug things but future may sculpt other themed stuff.

Not long ago people voted on some concepts I did:

head-pincer.jpg

The last one won and I sculpted
Ghead1.jpg

People liked it but sugested me to loose the lateral protuberances on head and so I did:
Pincer-head2.jpg

So its the final thing.

People also sugested more variants so I did a "closed" pincer head and a "opened" pincer head
Pincer-head1.jpg

Pincer-head3.jpg

Also working on a big spore
bug-seed.jpg

but kind of brainstormed with client and I'm sculpting this one:
Bug-seed2v2.jpg

And finally a BIG must have for xenomorphs fans some new heads are finished:
Alien-head1.jpg

Alien-head2.jpg

So this is what have been done so far, please sugest stuff you would like to see fleshed out or just ask any hobby questions.
Mind I'm not gaining by this and any business related questions should be addressed to client Im just the art guy .

Really nice stuff Navarro. Btw - Whats the scale of the bugs?
Also I like your concept works .... can´t help myself to name that second spore as a "vulva plant" :) .... but it looks pretty cool actually. Keep going mate.

By the 'general' design I'd guess that they're about the same size as the alien bug heads released by a-very- large and well known company out there. :D

Completely love the Xenomorph head! As for suggestions, I'd love to see one of the Xenomorph heads with a wide open mouth and the small 'mouth-tounge' sticking out.

Size wise pincers heads are good for smaller critters but xenomorphs are much more forgiving and can really go on small to medium sized bugs... remember bugs scale is bigger than human sized minis.

And I just made some ideas for bioblades, what do you guys and gals think?

Still brainstorming so all sugestions welcome.

Liked the second blade a lot. But, potentially, a small 'backwards' blade? Sort of to stab anyone behind with? Just a short triangular thing at the bottom of the picture.

Thanks folks, I worked very hard this weekend and 2.5 big tubes of Greenstuff later...

Here is the cratter for the biopod... as you can notice is quite big.

At the begining I considered having details like some small skull or bugs but If you are going to get multiple pods you would end up with a very boring and reconizable features so I tried to make a generic cratter that can go in any terrain and get away with multiples... also the 5inches of interior can give interesting terrain and game options also.
Pod wise the cratter will be mostly covered by pod but I think the extra detailing inside cratter can give you more modelling options.
Hope you folks like it.

Nice stuff, Navarro. I like Chapterhouse. They've put out some good stuff (and to be fair, some not so good stuff) in the past, and I like that they are trying to provide things that GW can't/won't. Those heads are some of my absolute favorite (except the vagina in the open mouth... I wonder about what genes those guys are stealing...).

Keep up the good work!

Thanks folks and yes that vagina mouth is deadly XD

On a totally diferent note I was asked from local 40k folks to sculpt one small miniature for a tournament prize... Its the masters tournament and has the best 40k players.
So I was thinking someting really simple funny and gaming evocative to be casted in resin ( since its cheaper)
After playing with ideas a made this concept.( to be honest I wouldnt mind having a army of those ehehe)
masters.jpg

Got to my bitz box and nailed a big dice and a 30mm base, proportions are diferent from original sketch but I can live with that.

I dont want to take much time on sculpting this so the simpler the better.
Any sugestions?

Suggestions... take the die to the toy store. Find a toy tank about the right size and scavenge as much as you can out of it. I think I've seen some war games tank minis that were about the right size as well, so a trip down to FLGS might be a good idea too. Then you can maybe cut off another mini for the pop-up ork. Since it is just one small mini, there wouldn't be much need to make a casting of it.

you know, for making things like the crater you may want to consider using sculpy (3 or super) in the future. i use it for most of my base work these days and it really saves money and time. all you hace to do is heat harden in for 15mins and then let it cool and you can start working on the next layer of detailing. works perfect for stone and filler, and when you need details that only greenstuff can make you can switck rapidly. i think you might like it.....

great work on the bugs btw

Terrific! Sculpt the grot tank and I'll probably buy 3 of them:p
Perhaps different versions for more awesome-ness.
