Building a showbase, i fancy making up a tutorial for CMON.....how do i do this??

Pictish Mini Painting

Hi guys,

I am almost finished my blood angels army, and i recently spent a considerable fortune at B&Q on insulation board and MDF!

The B&Q stuff was originally for my Thunderbolt as i am doing a diorama based around it and the FW pilot figure, using some techniques in the Modelling Masterclass book (buy it BTW, if you ever wanted a good step by step on more advanced weathering techniques, its the one for you! Been looking for a book like that for 10 years).

Anyway, as i have heaps of spare stuff i wanted to make a showbase for the blood angel army before i put it on ebay, as it may get some more beer tokens, and it would be a nice project for me.

However as i cannot see a tutorial on making a Large scale showbase (i.e not squad size or individual mini), i thought i would document my project so others can see whats involved.

I am a relatively acomplished modeller and have a good design in my head, but i don\'t know how to write up Tutorial in CMON, can a MOD explain how this is done, so i can start to plan how i will photograph and write up the build.

Cheers all

Rick

Basically write it up in Word then Cut & Paste into the article section. This helps as it\'s spelling checked.
The Article does have a very simple icon based import for pictures as well as formatting and other stuff. And remember Pictures are worth a thousand words.

However if there are any issues, don\'t worry as we (The Mods) look over the articles and try to edit any glaring issues and then contact the author to make sure that they are happy with any amendments before they get approved.
It\'s not an arduous process at this end, It\'s the brain and physical work at your end that\'s the fun.

@Lizcam: I\'m sure they\'d leave one or two spelling mistakes in so that we could tell is was really your work. If you ever took enough time out of posting and harassing men with your eyelashes to write one. :D

PS: Is you article going to be about making a display base for such things as armies, cause that\'s just what I searching for. :D

By Showbase, i mean a large diorama style base that my army can be placed on with the recessed sections for bases, so an army can be displayed when not in use or during tournament breaks etc.

I am photographin a build atm and will be finished the base hopefully by Sunday.

Shall write up report during the evening
