Do you have good suggestions on how to make realistic bulrushes?

take a paint brush bristle (from a houehold paint brush) and then dip the end in pva, let dry. repeat the dippinguntil you ahve a nice oblong shaped lozenge at the end of the bristle. Paint, job done.

Obviously the bristle needs to be strong enough to hold up the PVA hence using something \"thick n strong\" like a household paint brush bristle - but you cna substitute all sort of things.

If you want a quicker way just replace the PVA with superglue/CA and set it fast using Blaster (CA accelerator)

Thank you james sequeira and Antenociti, I will consider your approach. I\'m always open for extravagant methods that make the hobby performing easier. :idea:

I did similar to the above..I have often used fine wire with success as this can be bent into some realistic shapes..
Also if you get Fine silver sand (sold in pet shops for chinchilla dust baths) you can add a very light texture to the rush tips....
