Ok i really have a need to paint a bust. I\'ve been looking for a while and still have yet to find some good inexpensive ones. I\'ve been checking EbAY for forgeworlds but alas no luck. Sooo.. it would be helpful if you could post links to companies that supply inexpensive busts .01-45$ range. Thanks.

I believe those could be available in any large city for a price within the stated range...sorry no links.lol

Foge World busts are occasionally available on Ebay for well within the desired price range or thereabouts...link

There were a couple of Forgeworld Beastman busts available there on auction also. Picked one up for 20 euro, so they are there for the bidding.

Hum ... didn\'t we already go through this?

Since resin busts are not mass produced like miniatures they will seem expensif, but what was already stated is in your price range. Have you found something to your liking since, without taking into account the price?

Well, when I saw the price range, my thought was; \"The cheaper you go, the more interesting the diseases become.\" :D

Yes, didn\'t we? I\'m glad it wasn\'t just my imagination. So the question is: what does this thread add that the other one lacked Cookster?

Yes there was another topic that was exactly the same. And yes each time people seem to get confused. I posted it again because i still am looking with little success and don\'t feel like paying the >45$ range.

What types of Busts are you interested in?

Really anything with a deatailable face.

ok...interestingly enough, I found a few really cool American Indian busts at a \'dollar\' store for incredibly cheap.

I\'ve been painting on one for some time, just to know, practice. I have another though, and could probably get more.

They are about 4-5 inches tall. Would you be interested in something like that. I guess I could post a pic of what I have.

Incidentally, just today I bought a pack of four busts for 10€. They are Albert Einstein, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (or, to show off, Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart), Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven. They are probably not the best of busts, but I really appreciate what these people have done and it will probably be a nice break from all the fantasy stuff ;)
I`m really looking forward to painting Mozart :D

yup, they were more or less.

My battery on my camera is charging. I\'ll get you a pic of the two I\'ve got as soon as I can.

Ok cool. Are they hard plastic or rubbery?

Here we are...

I added the ogre for scale, obviously. They are are hard plastic/resin. The fellow on the right is how some of them are painted. Sometimes they have cheaper looking \'realistic\' painting, which is plain awful. The fellow on the left was painted like his partner, I spray painted him white, and have been working on him ever since.

Let me know what you think!

@Mosch: Any chance those busts are available online somewhere? Or do you know the companies name that made them? They sound great.

@Supervike: Fiddlesticks! I keep checking the local dollar stores for cool finds like those but havent been in too much luck as of yet. I did find a bunch of cheap dinosaur bones a good size for some typical 28mm scale terrain though. Those places are so hit or miss, it\'s like xmas when you find something useful, I love \'em.

I got them on Ebay. You have 8 hours left - and they still have 9 out of 10 packs :D

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4415997652&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

They use some kind of auction service that may be a little hard to figure out - if anyone wants some, I\'d order them for you If you pay up front. Just send me a PM.
