Relisted, cause it didn\'t sell the first time when he was asking $600 for it. Heh. Guess I\'ll have to wait until they make a production kit... because you know they will.

Haruhi from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya), which is an extremely well done anime, for those curious.

Those things are starting to grow on me too...

Strange, cos I hated them at first....I\'ve just ordered three more from http://www.hobbyfan.com
Not rarities like your one however, but who knows...one day??

With magic?

The only way I can think of is to paint the whole leg black, glue some fine mesh in place and paint the flesh over the top then take the mesh off.

Wow, I realy like this, but the price is not for me, I just had a look at the ebay minis of anime, and as my birthday is coming up shortly, can I ask
which are the best make to buy?
Are the tai and hong kong ones fakes?
Are the mini\'s (if you have done one) good sculpts and easy to put together and paint?
I assume being resin, car primer would be the one to prime them in?

Cheers

The netting is definitely raised on the model...

So, it could be cast into the model, or that could be real netting material???

What scale is that figure???

If they are raised there are a few ways to do it.
Of course they could be actual scale fishnet nylons, but that would be doubtful.
Raised ridges, my favorite theory is cover the legs in vasoline, then wipe them off gently with a cloth or tissue. This should clean the raised area but leave vasoline in the depressions. Then spray it black.
Then, after the black has thoroughly dried, clean away the rest of the vasoline.

Check out JJ Models...

http://www.jjmodels.com/en/index.html

They publish an on-line magazine in English with some really good articles. (Including one on airbrushing stockings).
They do some great fantasy models as well as the cheescake ones.

So that\'s where she came from.
I remember seeing when sivousplay posted her here.

The JJ magazine articles look great. I\'ll have to check them out when I have time.

Never been a huge fan of the anime figures, though I am a huge fan of good anime in general. This is the first time I saw a figure that really really wowed me. I\'m sure the fact that I loved the series so much biased me. :)

I\'ve never put a resin kit like this together, so I\'m not too sure on the process. Quite a different experience than painting a malanthrope or old Armourcast titan. For nearly $600, I\'d have to say \"very carefully\" is the order of the day.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with an overwhelming desire to own a model of a half-naked imaginary schoolgirl! Nothing wrong at all! :D
