hey CMON...

here are the close-ups of my latest commission...
my first proper display mini!!!

since i had so many pics on hand i went for the full 360 view...
can you have too many pics???
probably not...

there are 10 shots in the collage, so you can really check him from all angles...
have a look, and cast your vote;)...

my brief was to take the studio scheme, and make it better...
i hope i pulled it off...

i made a few changes from the studio version, mostly to bring more detail to the paint job...
battle damage, buzz cut, and freehand rank badge are all additions to the PP version...

for a more detailed description of the paint job check the previous submission, or head over to my blog to read my usual full write-up on the paint work...

it was nice to paint a PP mini after a 2 year break from their stuff...
it's got me excited for the next job...

i hope you like him...

thanks for lookin'...

cheers

I like the battle damage and the hair especially. How did you paint the stubble hair do? I'd like to try something like that soonish.

thanks, you two...

@scott: the stubble is just a mix of Greatcoat Grey and Khardic Flesh...
the full paint write-up is now on my blog...

@flunk: the customer is happy, but he is going to be really stoked when he gets it in the mail...
pics just don't compare to how harmonious everything is in hand...
way too harsh in camera:(...
we are already moving on to the next project though, the Tyrant Xerxis!!!
i'm so excited, and it will be on an even more wicked Voodooworx base...

cheers

I hope you cleaned off that mold line I see....

KIDDING!! JUST KIDDING...No need for panic!

Looking back on this, I think my favorite bit is the axe blade. Such a great mix of metals, grime and blood. Really wonderful work on that jah!

WOW, love it ;D

The blood is just right and the armour details are just right, not sure about the back burner but it's a tough job to pull off.

Excellent mini dude, you paint job is good when you want to immedietly buy the miniature :lol

youve really nailed the metal effects, and the red is superb. weak point for me is the white fur. out of place on this gritty mini.
